Monopoly is a great game. It's a good activity to do when you are with friends or family. Playing this game can take up to hours when all players know their Monopoly strategies very well. The downside here is that Monopoly is not the type of game that you would like to play when you are on the road or when you don't have too much time on your hands and just want to have a quick game.

Good thing there's Monopoly Deal, a card game whose rules are patterned after the original Monopoly game. Compared to the board game, however, Monopoly Deal is a fast-paced game fit for travelers who may play it in the airport, in the bus, or practically anywhere. It's also fit for those who may not have the patience to play an entire round of Monopoly but is quite interested in games involving properties and money.

The rules are quite simple. The goal of the game is to collect three complete property sets. A property set may be composed of between 2 to 4 property cards derived from the actual Monopoly game. One can do this by outright playing his/her cards, taking cards from opponents through theft or deals, or by taking properties from opponents in the form of rental income.

There are 110 cards on each deck, with a sizable amount of property cards, as well as money and action cards. Because of the game's simple rules, it's quite fast-paced; if you do not look out carefully, you might just be surprised that your opponents already won in a single turn! Don't be fooled by its simple rules. There is also a bit of strategy involved in playing this sneaky card game.

All in all, Monopoly Deal is a fun game to play. My friends and I have already taken a certain liking for this particular card game and we already expect to play it more often now that we discovered just how amusing it is to forcefully take properties away from one another.
